Liquid Alchemy Labs Bad Wolf
Bad Wolf by Liquid Alchemy Labs is a follow up to one of the most successful pheromone products of all time… WOLF. Garry dropped this “gangbuster” product on us in 2014… so the question is — did it deliver?

In a nutshell… hell to the YEAH.

Bad Wolf is my *currently* highest rated pheromone product, but it’s also one of the most difficult to get the hang of…

However, one you do figure it out, it’s hands down, one of the BEST pheromone products I have ever used.

After the initial release in 2014, there was a sense that Bad Wolf wasn’t quite as good as everyone hoped it would be.

People were complaining that it was too scary and intimidating, felt anxious wearing it, and thought it was scaring men and women off…

After having some trouble getting it to work for myself as well, I understood exactly why in just a few weeks of testing.

Bad Wolf was designed in a way to FORCE you to develop high quality personality traits to “drive” the product effectively.

Bad Wolf was designed “mold” you into someone who’s extremely confident, attractive, and not afraid to bring out their true “inner badass”…

This review is pretty comprehensive, because there is a lot to learn about this product…

And even to this day, I check back in to add some more observations and new things I discovered about the product.

… it was either that, or have a very highly rated product on my site, and a bunch of people complaining it didn’t work… which is the main reason it took so long to review and write this up in the first place.

As an example, there were a LOT of people who claimed that Nude Alpha was having little to no effects… until myself and several others really dialed in to the sub-conscious effect it was having on women.

The “prince charming” effect was so powerful, but it happened “under the radar”. But seeing as everyone wants instant results, most people in their impatience wrote the product off, instead of trying to figure it out.

Bad Wolf by Liquid Alchemy Labs review
Anyway, let’s get to the good stuff… Garry mentions on his sales page that:

“Bad Wolf’s alpha aggressive is going to hit first, so you are going to have to have the nuts to hang in there until the sexual has the chance to get you into real trouble.

This is backwards to the way many pheromone formulas work as most pheromone formulas are made for low level beta males with lots of socials, or they are just all alpha androstenone.”

In a moment, you’ll find out exactly why Bad Wolf is one of those badass products every guy should get, What Garry is saying here is that most products are designed to make it extremely easy to be social… but when that happens, you lose out a lot of sexual tension and also risk becoming friendzoned – or beta in the eyes of other guys.

He goes on to say…

“Bad Wolf is a bit twisted in its delivery. Mostly because we want your life to be interesting.

You are paying for a different reaction with women and people in general. You want a different life and we are trying to give that new experience to you.

I mean in the end you only get your experiences, so you better make them good ones. I mean the goal is not to be more boring than your friends. Bad Wolf does not accept boring!”

As I was reading the pre-release sales page, it dawned on me that Liquid Alchemy Labs was brewing up something crazy.

And as a huge fan of the company, I was obliged to pick it up as soon as possible.

It took me a few weeks to get the hang of Bad Wolf, but once I did I understood WHY there were reports of people not having the success I was experiencing…

It’s because Bad Wolf is a product designed to help you break through the the barriers stopping you from social, professional, and romantic success

So why was it not working for a lot of people?

To put it simply – MOST PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE THE CONFIDENCE, CHARISMA, AND SOCIAL SKILLS TO SUCCEED AT USING THIS PRODUCT.

… however, if you’ve read my other reports (namely, Aqua Vitae), you’d realize that using pheromones forces you to change and adjust your personality.

These are usually positive changes you need to make in order to advance.

With Aqua Vitae, I was forced “upgrade” my skills with women and become smoother, escalate faster, and really step into the high status, celebrity vibe it projects.

Except it was designed for more than just attracting women quickly.

This was designed to make you get out of your comfort zone and reap massive social and professional rewards too.

liquid alchemy labs bad wolf review
Bad Wolf review Liquid Alchemy Labs

To use Bad Wolf, you have to adopt a suave, badass, alpha mindset that will win you friends, success, and women.

Sadly, there are a lot of people who will read this report and think “why would I get a product that requires me to put in effort?”… and “why would I get this when I can get x product and get any woman anyway?”.

… and if you are one of those people, I highly recommend you look into personal development whether you use pheromones or not.

As I mention in many of my reports, using a product is not a magic pill or potion, nor an instant cover up for your problems.

Using an attraction product when you have low confidence, undeveloped social skills, and weak game in general will usually backfire on you.

However, if you are one the few willing to make the changes Bad Wolf requires of you to work, then you will reap many benefits such as…

  • Highly developed social skills, wit, and banter with both men and women

  • Significantly improve your flirting, sexual innuendos, humor, escalation skills, and become a MAGNET for all types of women (usually the hottest girls, as shy ones will likely feel intimidated by you)

  • Make high quality friends and an excellent social circle with high value people

  • People will like you better, respect you, and feel like you are of high status

One of my readers over at PheromonePro also asked…

Why is Bad Wolf an advantage when you can get products that specialize in attraction/social/status boosts “out of the box” anyway?

And that’s a good question – you can get things handed to you, or you can go out and get it.

Like Garry mentioned, Bad Wolf was designed to help break through the blocks that are holding your life back.

It will push you harder to upgrade your game, social life, and professional life.

It will help if you’re struggling with issues like…

  • You lack confidence to be “sexual” with women… Bad Wolf will bring out your inner confidence and sexual nature, and will feel somewhat threatened by you (in a good way) because they see you as a potential romantic or sex partner. Bad Wolf will give you permanent, REAL inner game that you need to pull off this vibe.

  • If you’ve ever felt inferior, or like you’re worth is “less” than other males, then Bad Wolf will show you how to become the Wolf among sheep. You will not only get respect, you will be seen as a natural leader and gain the confidence of quality males in your life – and you will build a persona of popularity, status, and sex appeal around yourself.

  • If you’ve ever wanted to be more outgoing, fun loving, charismatic, risk taking, live life to the fullest, and be more than just “average”… then Bad Wolf will help you overcome the mental and emotional obstacles stopping you. It is also a powerful tool for attracting women into relationships/creating fallout when combined with romantic type products. It is the closest thing you will find to a “real life love potion” ( rare , extremely magnetic people who everybody loves and respects.

And in order to accomplish that, you will have to adopt a “larger than life” mindset in order to pull it off…

that’s why Bad Wolf is one of the best products I’ve ever used, and probably will for a very long time.

So yes. You may intimidate some people, feel anxious, ignored, and have other negative feelings – that’s because you haven’t completely “accepted” that this powerful new vibe is yours.

It may take a week, a month, or several months… but once you see it working you’ll never look back.

Women will laugh at everything you say, men will want to befriend you, strangers will stare… and so much more.

But to harness Bad Wolf’s power, you’re going to have to put in some work. And that involves stepping out of your comfort zone in order to grow as a person all-around.

About 3 years ago, I used to be a bit of a “self help” junkie, and was constantly looking for ways to improve myself. And I came a very long way…

I have developed a personality that I like, and overcome many obstacles with my self esteem issues, fears, failures and more – and in many aspects of my life which include women, finances, the social world, and “fitting in”, etc.

I’ve spent years developing a “winners mindset” and that is driven to achieving the most out of life.

That’s how you get to become one of those “effortless” guys that have success, friends, women, confidence, and everything you want…
liquid alchemy labs bad wolf review
Bad Wolf will FORCE you to BECOME “that”guy.

    bad-wolf-lal-review
Now that you have some idea of what it does and how it works, let’s get more specific

    • Bad Wolf is the ULTIMATE pheromone product that amplifies your personality and personal power… but it won’t work unless you put in the effort to break through nervousness of speaking up, approaching women, or being the center of attention – or whatever your goals are. There’s just no room for half assing it – if you do, you may come off as arrogant, intimidating, etc and people might feel angry or turned off around you. However, once you put a smile on their face they will light up with respect, attraction, and “awe” with your presence. This may take a few days or weeks depending on your current skills using pheromones and how “developed” your personality already is (the wait, however, is worth it).

    • The #1 takeaway you should get from this review, is that to unlock Bad Wolfs potential you need DEVELOP social skills, charisma, and an all around VIP/celebrity vibe in order it to work… the reason it didn’t take me as long as some others to find out how BW works is because like I mentioned earlier… I’ve spent a very long time developing a “winners mindset”. When it comes to my passions such as dance, I work hard because I want to win battles, and its that same attitude that carries over to business success, having a great personality, and women. Bad Wolf will make you reach deep down inside yourself and bring your inner strength to the surface. You will put in more effort to get what you want out of life.

    • Bad Wolf has very strong imprinting/fallout type effects, and can be used to break out of friendzone (in fact, one of the BEST combos I have discovered is using Bad Wolf + XiSt)… XiSt is a fantastic product for creating romantic imprinting on women who have friendzoned you. It can start to change their minds about seeing you as “just a friend” very quickly… but what makes this even more powerful is having the aura of Bad Wolf back it up… it not only has its own unique, memorable subconscious imprint effect (people seem to remember you in a very positive light), but this is amplified with XiSt and significantly adds to its friendzone destroying effect.

    • Seems to make people want to follow your lead, and make everything you say and do much more persuasive (useful for when asking women out, escalating, or “suggesting” what you want to do)… Bad Wolf will give you a lot of charisma and personal power/magnetism, which makes people (and especially women) highly receptive to you when you learn how to steer the product. This is extremely noticeable, especially in environments like nightclubs where women can be on their guard, and outright reject guys just because they think they have “power” over men. But Bad Wolf will separate you from the pack, and make women much far more easily available to you – because they want what you have.

    • Bad Wolf is the ultimate training tool to upgrade your seduction game – but you can’t afford to play nice… BW outputs a fairly sexual vibe, although it’s not too overbearing. However, because of the high status it also has, women will almost expect you to hit on them – the key is to actually do it, and eventually get comfortable with it. If you’ve been around any type of game so far, you know that being honest about your intentions with women is the best way to get them… when you flip-flop and dance around what it is you want, you will get friendzoned. You must step into the role of a bad boy.

    • Many women will consider you “unattainable” because BW will project all the best qualities about you, and suppress the bad… this in turn will intimidate most women, especially average to unattractive ones (and even some that are attractive, but lack confidence). I have women become catty over me at a party (and one interesting case where an ex tried to bad mouth me to her friends – fortunately I am better friends with the people who hosted this party). Be ready for some freaky weird behavior from women. Make sure to try and make the women feel at ease around you, and will open doors – tease and be playful!

    • Get ready to be thrown into the deep end when it comes to “situations” with women… it’s simply unbelievable how well it will work once you get the hang of it. Women will give strong eye contact (on the level of Aqua Vitae), giggle and laugh at dumb things you say, touch you sensually, tease you, and give you cute smiles. In fact, these start to become regular occurrences in your everyday life once you’ve really given the tune up your personality needs with Bad Wolf.

    • To add on to the above point – I originally thought I might have had my t-shirt on backwards or something because of all the eye contact I was receiving… however, I later realized that it was just the strong attraction properties of Bad Wolf at work. I already knew eye contact is a serious indicator of interest, but it’s like these women wouldn’t leave me alone until I talked to them! So keep calm, flirt, and do your thang

    • Bad Wolf will make you push harder to go out and meet women, accomplish personal and professional goals, and become who YOU want to be – in other words, it’s pure MOTIVATION… and I personally think that this is where a lot of guys experience the most resistance when it comes to truly “accepting” the Bad Wolf signature. Why? Because most guys simply aren’t like the guys who go out and conquer the tasks before them… the ones that go looking for women, build empires and make money… they’re just living paycheck to paycheck hoping for a miracle. If you know me, I am always pushing myself as hard as I can, in every area of my life – and encourage my friends to do so as well. Bad Wolf will make you someone others look up to.

    • You will speak much more articulately, and with more charisma and enthusiasm… I don’t know why this happens with certain pheromones for men, but I really do like it. It seems to help me organize thoughts in my head, and therefore gives me a substantial improvement in my speaking ability. Remember, having great communication skills is VITAL for achieving just about anything in life… whether its success with women, getting noticed at your work, professional life, persuasion in business – it will make it a breeze to navigate socially.

    • You will have to test for your sweet spot individually to get the MAXIMUM benefit – for me, it’s 2 drops… however, I start with just 1. At this dose, I received some excellent self effects and effects on others – from improved mood and confidence, respect, attraction… but when I moved up to 2 drops, I realized that I needed to become a bit more charming and socially aware to drive it as it was meant to be. THAT is where Bad Wolf pushes you to to be “more” than what you are, and will get the most personal growth. When it gets easy to manage, that’s when you can add another drop The frustration you might experience will make you a much stronger individual.

    • And finally the big kahuna… SELF EFFECTS OF BAD WOLF: Like I said in my point above, 1 drop got me some great results… however, it wasn’t until i started pushing the dose up that it became uncomfortable and I was forced to adapt. The personal growth I was experiencing lead me to become even more extroverted, a great mood (because of all the things I was and am accomplishing), being at ease even in stressful situations. When it came to seduction, I was much more comfortable around hot/model women, and being more direct with my flirting and innuendos, and being “THE” life of the party. Bad Wolf is some serious pheromone sorcery. Its magnetic properties have powerful effects on men and women, which you really need to experience atleast once!

If you’re not ready to become the BIG, BAD, WOLF… then do not buy this product.

Bad Wolf by Liquid Alchemy Labs

Have you ever heard the saying, “you become what you think about the most?”.

What that means is that if you focus on how you’re not getting anywhere in life, struggle with women, money, social skills…

Whatever it is… you will ALWAYS be stuck being that person.

Why would you want to do that?

Bad Wolf was designed to push you to your mental limits and exert yourself on the world with power and strength, and help you accomplish your goals. That’s why it’s one of the top pheromone cologne products in my arsenal.

It will change you into a more confident, motivated, social, friendly, attractive BEAST!

Once the discomfort of adopting this new pheromone signature goes away, you’ll experience profound changes in how you deal with things in your everyday life.

… it takes some effort, persistence, and motivation.

And if you’re willing to put the time and effort in, then you will reap the rewards many, many times over as I have. Be the “action man” who goes out and gets what he wants!

Frankly, living an “average” life is just not on the cards for me, and I hope it isn’t for you either.

      Big Bad Wolves

A series of brutal murders puts the lives of three men on a collision course: The father of the latest victim now out for revenge, a vigilante police detective operating outside the boundaries of law, and the main suspect in the killings - a religious studies teacher arrested and released due to a police blunder.

Bad Wolf (INSANELY Powerful Attraction: Magnetic: VIP Blend, Alluring), Big Bad Wolf Review in Canada

I think it's safe to say that when most people think of murder and torture, the word comedy doesn't usually come to mind. For better or worse, however, it appears that writer/directors Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado are not most people. With their latest effort, the duo have crafted a twisted tale of disturbing violence and unnerving evil -- all layered within a whimsical air of dark humor. Yes, you read that correctly. I said whimsical. And as potentially antithetical as all that might sound, the filmmakers somehow make it all work. In fact, they make it work beautifully. Well, as beautifully as blood-soaked carnage can work, anyway. An offbeat mishmash of horror, comedy, and crime thriller sensibilities, the movie is a unique piece of genre filmmaking that is both playfully humorous and powerfully unsettling, creating an adult "fairy tale" that trades in the magic of fantasy for the cruel nightmares of the real world.

After a young girl is brutally violated and murdered, a renegade police detective, Micki (Lior Ashkenazi), takes it upon himself to seek out justice. Determined to find the man responsible, he attempts to interrogate the prime suspect, a seemingly harmless teacher named Dror (Rotem Keinan) who continually proclaims his innocence. But the deceased girl's father, Gidi, has his own plans for the alleged killer, and soon the three men find themselves caught in a deadly game of torture and revenge. But is Dror really the murderer, or is the true killer still at large?

Based on its dark premise and disturbing subject matter, I can't say that I really expected to laugh a whole lot during 'Big Bad Wolves.' With that said, to the filmmakers' credit, I eventually found myself embracing the flick's warped sense of humor, and the manner in which the directors are able to balance the movie's unusual tone is really quite impressive. On the surface, the narrative is very unsettling, dealing with concepts like pedophilia, murder, and torture, but the movie maintains a playfully twisted air of comedy throughout. To be clear, the filmmakers never make light of any of the heady topics I just listed -- instead, they simply find a way to frequently undercut the film's mounting tension with quirky character beats and an almost bumbling chamber play quality. You see, Gidi's plan to torture Dror doesn't simply go off without a hitch, and the various setbacks he runs into prove to be surprisingly entertaining. For instance, at one point Gidi is delayed from smashing a hammer into Dror's hands by a phone call from his amusingly nagging mother, bringing a bizarre sense of levity to an otherwise grave situation. It's this juxtaposition of the mundane and silly against other more horrible and violent occurrences, that ends up fueling much of the runtime's unconventional laughs.

Likewise, the trio (and later quartet) of characters that rest at the center of the plot are all marked by entertaining idiosyncrasies. This is especially true of Gidi, and actor Tzahi Grad is exceptional in the roll. On the one hand, it's initially easy to sympathize with the man's quest for vengeance, but as the story goes on, right or wrong, he's essentially revealed to be psychotic, and Tzahi milks his alternately sadistic and mild-mannered behavior for ample laughs and scares. In the included special features, the filmmakers cite Tarantino and the Coen Brothers as influences, and the former is especially clear in their frequent attempts to deflate and extend the plot's ample tension with dark comedy.

It's not all fun and games, though. Not by a longshot. Despite the strangely effective humor, this is still a deeply unsettling film that deals with ugly people doing very ugly things, and the script examines many complicated ideas related to justice, revenge, torture, and evil. As Dror's potential guilt remains ambiguous throughout much of the film, it becomes difficult to decide who the "good" and "bad" guys really are, constantly shifting the audience's loyalty while engendering weighty moral dilemmas. The filmmakers then take this inherent level of narrative tension and ramp it up through their compositions, camera movements, editing, and music, creating a palpably anxious and unnerving experience. The opening slow motion shot of children playing hide-and-seek is particularly effective, corrupting a traditionally innocent image with foreboding and dread while economically setting up the plot's central tragedy. Stylistically, the movie also becomes a legitimate horror film, and its level of violence and gore can be very graphic. In other words, this isn't a flick for the squeamish.

In many ways, 'Big Bad Wolves' almost plays out like a dark comedy version of Denis Villeneuve's 'Prisoners,' and while that might initially sound like a terrible and potentially tasteless prospect, the directors somehow find an appropriately twisted balance between black comedy and disturbing thrills -- one that never comes across as disrespectful to the script's otherwise bleak and sensitive subject matter. Funny, tense, and ultimately haunting, this is a genuinely unique hodgepodge of genres that comes together surprisingly well. An adult bedtime story filled with horror and devoid of heroes, like its title implies, this is simply a story about wolves, and their teeth are very sharp and ready to bite. That is, unless their nagging mothers call.

      Big Bad Wolf (DVD)

Starring Richard Tyson, Trevor Duke, Kimberly J. Brown, Christopher Shyer, Sarah Christine Smith, Robin Sydney, Clint Howard, David Naughton

Written & Directed by Lance W. Dreesen

      Released by Screen Media Films

This is one I’ve been waiting for years, it seems, thanks in no small part to the hyping director Dreesen did during production and post. Though the end result was not what I had hoped for, Big Bad Wolf is still a pretty solid horror picture with some great kills, even if they are few and far between. And you know me, I have a soft spot for werewolves … even if they do talk.

The story is about a pasty skinny boy named Derek (Duke) who just wants to get in with the cool frat. Why, since he’s neither a jock nor an asshole? Who the fuck knows. Anyway, he’s just a pledge so he wants to be cool, so he tells two of his future frat brothers of a secluded cabin owned by his stepfather where they can go and party their weekend away, as long as they take him with.

Sounds reasonable enough, too bad said cabin is actually his stepfather’s hunting lodge, though he uses no gun or archery on his monthly outings. They just happen to pick a weekend of a full moon, and pretty soon only Derek and his wanna-be tough gal pal Sam (Brown) are alive. Sam’s convinced the werewolf is Derek’s stepdad, a consummate asshole named Michael Toblat (Tyson), but Derek takes some convincing. Just enough, as a matter of fact, to pad the movie out and give the time between lycanthropic debauchery seem much longer than it actually is.

bigbadwolfpic1small - Big Bad Wolf (DVD)
Actually, this area both works and it doesn’t. If it had been anyone but Tyson, I really don’t think it would have done anything but pad the film. Thankfully Tyson is a damn fine scenery chewer and it’s been so long it seems since I’ve seen him in anything, it was cool for him to be more or less center stage for a while.

He also acts as a good opposite to Duke’s character of Derek, who always looks like he’s about to cry should someone glance at him the right way. His character does get a bit of an arc as he realizes what effect his step pop’s lunar activities have really had on his life, so by the end he’s not quite as much of a wimp, but man he was hard to watch for most of the movie.

Don’t even think of getting excited about a cool transformation, though; what we have here is about as standard as it gets, nothing new or original and especially nowhere near An American Werewolf in London, the transformation which I clearly remember Dressen saying he was trying to emulate. I do have to admit I kind of like the look of the beast, despite the semi-stylish hairdo, but man it was a bad idea to allow him to talk. Or, to pull it back a bit, it was a bad idea to allow him to say the things he ended up saying which, as Foy pointed out in his review of the movie, will remind you a lot of Freddy’s one-liners from the last few Nightmare sequels. They could at least have made him say something scary every now and then, for God’s sake.

bigbadwolfpic2small - Big Bad Wolf (DVD)
The look of the beast is broken down pretty well in the 7-minute featurette “Creating the Wolf”, which shows every step of the process of the full-body suit Tyson had to wear, and even more details are handed out during Dressen’s sole commentary track on the disc.

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times: There are only a few directors out there who can manage a commentary solo. Guillermo del Toro is one. Dressen, not so much, and there are times he gets so intricate with the process of how the film was made that, unless you’re a filmmaker yourself, you’ll likely want to just skip right over it. This is when it would’ve been nice to have someone else with him, if nothing else to rein him in on the details. I was confused as hell after he was about 2 minutes into it, and I like to think I have some knowledge of how film is processed and produced. Shows what I know.

He’s definitely got a lot to say, though, and is able to shed some light on a few questions you may have about Big Bad Wolf, especially why he decided to have a talking werewolf, so if you dig the flick enough it’s worth a listen.

Big Bad Wolf is, at the end of the day, a better-than-average direct to DVD title that showcases a director who’s undeniably got some potential. If he cleans up a few rough edges for his next one, I bet it’ll be even better. The DVD for the flick is lacking quite a bit, and the cover is just atrocious, but there’s enough that a fan of the film will be satiated. It’s not really going to be one of those movies that you’ll be dying for more information about, anyway.

The tagline for Israeli thriller Big Bad Wolves is "Some Men Are Created Evil." That's an interesting proposition, and this seemingly simple phrase is quite potent when applied to the film. A razor-sharp revenge thriller that Quentin Tarantino labeled his favorite of 2013, Big Bad Wolves explores the evil in the heart of man. Some men are born evil, others are molded to be evil by tragedy or out of necessity. A headstrong cop, the father of a murdered girl, and the schoolteacher accused of killing her are violently thrown together in this stylish, often humorous thriller from directors Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado. The film's heritage plays a key role in its unraveling narrative, which teases its audience with morally ambiguous characters who commit shocking acts of savagery. Big Bad Wolves is complex and entertaining; the rare thriller that succeeds by letting the audience make up its own mind about who should be redeemed.

A group of children play hide and seek in the film's time-skewed opening. One girl is snatched from a wardrobe, leaving behind only her shoes. A local grade-school teacher, Dror (Rotem Keinan), is suspected of kidnapping, raping and killing the girl but is not formally charged. Local detective Micki (Lior Ashkenazi) leads an unsanctioned interrogation squad to torture a confession out of Dror, but the operation is fruitless and Micki is demoted to traffic duty. The missing girl's body is found, headless and exhibiting signs of a sexual assault, and the girl's father, Gidi (Tzahi Grad), finds little solace in the police's assertions that they're working overtime to find the killer. Both Micki and Gidi independently decide to take matters into their own hands, as Dror asserts his innocence and attempts to flee from the encroaching hands of society.

Directors Keshales and Papushado, who shot Israel's first slasher film, Rabies, instill in Big Bad Wolves a darkly humorous undercurrent and likely earned Tarantino's seal of approval with their numerous nods to Reservoir Dogs. Torture is a game sanctioned by a loyalty to one's child, and the finger-snapping, skin-scorching horror begs the question of who, really, is the villain here? Like the recent Prisoners, Big Bad Wolves presents a father driven to extremes by the loss of a child. Micki moves from vigilante to prisoner to unwitting accomplice as Gidi binds and tortures Dror in his presence. Is Dror innocent or guilty? Perhaps it is Gidi and Micki who are now created evil.

The film's narrative is relatively straightforward, but its stylish delivery and often unexpected humor buoy the overall impact. The film suggests that Israeli conscription may be responsible for a generation of men who know how to kill. There are several hints that Keshales and Papushado have something to say about Israel-Palestine relations, too, and the only Palestinian character shows up on a horse as a guardian angel of sorts. Read into that what you will. As the title suggests, Big Bad Wolves is a fairy tale of sorts, about innocence lost, evil men meeting their maker, and getting lost in the woods of virtue. The final shots raise some questions that may not be worth answering, but Big Bad Wolves is a violently unique film about the weakness of men.

The 2.40:1/1080p/AVC-encoded image from Magnolia is excellent. The Arri Alexa-shot digital source is pristine, and this high-definition transfer replicates the filmmakers' intended look. The grainless image is crisp and extremely sharp, exhibiting loads of detail in both close-ups and wide shots. The directors used wide-angle lenses for many shots, which gives the movie a unique, slightly skewed appearance. Colors are nicely saturated and black levels are good considering the digital source. I noticed minor aliasing in a couple of shots but nothing else detracts from this solid transfer.

The Hebrew 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack is also strong, and provides a totally immersive experience for the home theater. Dialogue is always intelligible, whether it is delivered from the center channel or the surrounds. The film's score, from Israeli composer Haim Frank Ilfman, is key to setting the tone, and is given ample support from the surrounds and subwoofer. There are not a ton of action effects, but ambient effects use the surrounds to creep up behind viewers. Sometimes it's what you don't hear that sends chills down your spine. An English dub 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio mix is also available, as are English, English SDH, French and Spanish subtitles.

The Making of Big Bad Wolves (16:17/HD) is a decent production featurette with behind-the-scenes footage and cast and crew interviews. You also get AXS TV: A Look at Big Bad Wolves (2:57/HD), which is basically an extended trailer. There's also the film's real Theatrical Trailer (1:43/HD) and some bonus previews.

I don't agree with Quentin Tarantino that Big Bad Wolves is the best film of 2013, but it's certainly worth watching. This Israeli import is a shocking blend of violence and dark humor that questions the morality of men placed in terrible situations. Stylish and intense, Bad Bad Wolves injects new life into the tired revenge thriller. Highly Recommended.

On the Trail of a Vicious Killer, Eagerly Licking Their Chops

      Video player loading

A foul tale foully told, the Israeli horror flick “Big Bad Wolves” begins on a dreamy, once-upon-a-time note with three children playing hide-and-seek. As a boy counts down, two girls, one dressed in red and the other in blue, enter a derelict building. One stays, the other leaves; one dies; the other, well, who knows, much less cares, what happens to her? Certainly not the writers and directors, Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado, for whom murdered children are just an easy, conveniently blunt and effectively faceless (and headless) means to a self-satisfied, jokey and blood-slicked end.

In other words, there’s a serial killer loose, and he’s raping, torturing and decapitating girls, whose heads he then hides, mainly, it seems, to give this otherwise generic setup extra ick. As the police futilely chase clues, a motley triangle emerges: a suspended cop, Micki (Lior Ashkenazi); a religious teacher, Dror (Rotem Keinan); and a mourning father, Gidi (Tzahi Grad). In time, the three converge in an isolated cabin that turns into a chamber of horrors as they play a psychological game of no exit amid Jewish mother jokes, some noshing and one character’s — after taking a blowtorch to another man’s chest — sniffing the air and wistfully reminiscing about barbecue.

In one of those ill-advised director statements included with the press material, Mr. Keshales and Mr. Papushado invoke the “existential anxiety” that “serves as Israel’s foundation” and promise that their movie will ask, “Does being the victim give you the legitimate right” to become a vigilante? Nice try, guys. Although they toss in a sympathetic Arab character, his pacific presence is soon eclipsed by a tortured man’s agony. Is that the point? Is there a point? All the filmmakers seem interested in is the ugliness of the main Israeli characters, each of whom proves a virtuoso of violence. Micki’s weapon of choice is a bluntly wielded phone book, while Gidi prefers a saw and pliers. For their part, the filmmakers do their dirty work with swoopy cameras, shock cuts, giggles and gore.

Whatever Happened to the Big Bad Wolf?

Bad Wolf (INSANELY Powerful Attraction: Magnetic: VIP Blend, Alluring), Big Bad Wolf Review in Canada

Once upon a time, the Big Bad Wolf was a mighty fearsome fellow. In the folkloric tales of Aesop and the Grimms, he terrorized small children and other helpless critters. He blew down houses in Disney’s “Three Little Pigs,” and in “The Three Little Wolves,” a somewhat sinister Silly Symphony cartoon from 1936, after the Nazi ascent to power, he is saddled with a German accent.

Perhaps he was due for a makeover. Four new picture books this year brush aside his surly past and sweeten him up for warmer and fuzzier tales, while still retaining a bit of bite. In “The Three Little Pigs and the Somewhat Bad Wolf,” the prolific author-illustrator Mark Teague (“Dear Mrs. La Rue,” the “How Do Dinosaurs…?” series), sets his story in motion when three small pigs are abandoned by their farmer. (He decides to move to Florida with his wife.) They’ll just have to set up camp elsewhere.

The story proceeds as expected, with a few comic touches. Two of the pigs are not only lazy, they’re inveterate junk food gobblers; the third plants a vegetable patch. Matters depart from the routine when the “somewhat bad” wolf comes in, hungry and in a “VERY bad mood.” Still, he isn’t the professional destroyer of pigs from the stories of yore. “I can’t believe that worked!” he marvels after blowing down the first pig’s house. “He had never blown down a house before.”

He’s also, it happens, out of shape. The pigs feel sorry for him, and soon enough, he’s lounging with his porcine friends in the third pig’s swimming pool. Instead of happily ever after, "he was hardly ever bad again.” Breezily entertaining and full of food references, this humorous fractured fairy tale won’t send any children peering fretfully up the chimney.

“Rabbit and the Not-So-Big-Bad Wolf,” written by Michael Escoffier and illustrated by Kris Di Giacomo (illustrator of last year’s winning “My Dad is Big and Strong, But…”), offers a more original premise. The story, published originally in France, belongs to a small white bunny, whom the narrator, invisible behind a large coffee mug, addresses directly: “Tell me, Rabbit. Do you know the Not-So-Big-Bad Wolf?”

The rabbit then tries to draw the fellow in question, using a piece of chalk and a traditional blackboard. Each time, he gets at least one feature wrong. “That’s good,” the narrator says with encouragement. “But the Not-So-Big-Bad Wolf has a small nose.” Trouble arises when Rabbit gets the picture right, and the Wolf materializes and gives chase. The bunny tries to hide everywhere, but the scare is fleeting. The wolf, it turns out, is more Max than Wild Thing, and she dearly loves bunnies. Working with charcoal and muted watercolors, Di Giacomo infuses her pictures with humor and feeling in a story that may confuse at first but will charm in the end.

Meanwhile, “Red Riding Hood and the Sweet Little Wolf” opens on a smiley note, with a lavender-colored wolf cheerfully reading a book in a bright, sunny meadow. “Really, she was a Sweet Little Wolf who loved all things pretty and pink, especially fairy tales,” we are reassured. Unfortunately, her parents are sincerely bad wolves, and they ask their sweet child to collect “one little girl (tender and juicy)” for their evening repast.

Lo and behold, along comes Little Red Riding Hood, reading a fairy tale of her own. The Sweet Little Wolf tries to carry out her parents’ instructions, but she doesn’t have the temperament to pull it off. Sure, she dresses up like Grandma, but that’s only because she can’t resist trying on her polka-dotted nightcap and spritzing herself with perfume. Needless to say, nothing else goes according to plan in this frilly fractured fairy tale. There are tears and misunderstandings, and even a 180-degree turnaround by her harsh parents. A final impish twist can’t quite overcome Mrs. Wolf's overly comforting “We love you just the way you are.” Some fairy tales, alas, aren’t to be believed.

“The Big Bad Wolf Goes on Vacation” is Delphine Perret’s very smart and thoroughly beguiling follow-up to the similarly marvelous “Big Bad Wolf and Me” (2006), both of which were originally published in France. A hybrid picture book/chapter book/graphic novel for young children and newly confident readers, both books tell the story of Louis, a young boy with an active imagination and a Big Bad Wolf for a companion. His name is Bernard. And he’s a secret.

He’s also, occasionally, a distraction. He gets crumbs on Louis’s neck while the child tries to finish his homework. “You want me to leave you alone?” the Wolf asks, and when Louis says yes, can’t help adding, “I see you’ve made a few mistakes on your homework.” You can understand why Louis assents to the Wolf accompanying him on his beach vacation with Grandpa, with the caveat, “You’d have to go incognito.”

This may not be difficult, since the Wolf is drawn as mere shadow, with a brown blurry silhouette that stands in sharp contrast to Louis’s bright blue outlines. He is often mistaken for a dog. There’s also little danger of him eating anyone. “You forget that I’m a vegetarian,” he points out to Louis. “But you love salmon and sardines!” Louis retorts.

So goes the typical dialogue between the two friends — sometimes familiar, sometimes kvetchy — and it’s just one of the book’s many great charms. (At one point, the Wolf complains to Louis, “I am wounded by your lack of trust.”) Grown-ups will adore Grandpa and children will adore Louis. This Big Bad Wolf will win over everybody.

I would much prefer the oven to run on gas instead of electric. It takes a long time to heat up. The stove top (6 burner) which runs on gas is a pleasure to cook on. The stove top also has a griddle that we use often to make fried eggs, bacon and pancakes.

After about 5 years of using top oven, its spring broke and we had to pay an expensive part replacement and installation. It was professional service. After 10 years of using it, its electronic touch panel starting to fading but still readable.

Love my Wolf range. Easy to keep clean. Heats up fast. Never had a problem in 6+ years. It replaced an old downdraft coil cooktop. I choose the wolf for its great recommendations and found an amazing deal on an open box return that had never been installed.

Bought a Wolf 60" Dual Fuel range about 10 years ago. Had quite a few problems with the thing. Circuit board had to be replaced several times - would fry if the self cleaning function was used. Despite the occasional problems, we used the range heavily, but after about seven years of use, I was fed up with the issues and was going to scrap it and get a different brand. To my amazement, Wolf offered to replace the range for less than a quarter of the original price. I figured that I had gotten at least that much use out of it and agreed. In short order, they brought in a new one and took the old one away. No problems whatsoever since then.

The stainless griddle cover was a lighter gauge steel than the cover on the original range. When I mentioned that to them and they immediately sent a heavier gauge cover with no questions asked. Also have a Subzero Pro 48 fridge and 48" Wolf outdoor grill. Both have had zero problems. My experience with these appliances is that they are beautiful and work great. Their customer service is as good or better than any product I have ever owned.
